Poetic Resistance

comment

Editor:

Thanks to Allegra Brucker for her soul-arousing poem "Resistance" (Oct. 29). With just 24 carefully chosen words you described how it became possible for us to lose our way and how we can find it again.

We needn't wait until we are compost; the fundamental truth of unity is always here to be tapped into.

As in the haunting words of Mother Teresa: "If we have no peace it is because we have forgotten that we belong to one another."

Our softness helps us remember.
